Clear explanations, relevant sources
Our glossary explains terminology to help with salon conversations. We use primary sources for technical claims and distinguish manufacturer examples from the services and products actually offered by the studio.
Authorship and review credits
Articles name their author. A reviewer or fact-checker is credited only when that work occurred. A byline does not imply independent review, and we do not invent credentials, quotes or customer cases.
Examples and product claims
Hypothetical examples illustrate a conversation or decision; they are not customer results. A claim about a specific product is not a promise about every product in that category or a statement that the studio uses that brand.
Updates and corrections
Visible update dates reflect changes to the article. If you spot a possible error, contact the studio with the page and concern. Personal service recommendations require a discussion of your actual hair and goals.
